Clams, Culture, and Classy US Residents . . . all at a bargain price

That was the byline of an article I saw yesterday in the London Newspaper. "Clams, Culture, and Classy US Residents . . . all at a bargain price." It was the picture that caught my eye. . . a grey shingled waterfront home with a lighthouse in the background . . .all too familiar. . . Cape Cod.

Yup, waterfront property on Cape Code is illustrated as "bargains" for the British. A million dollar house in the U.S. is only 500,000 sterling. And just to put that in even more perspective . . . a two bedroom flat in my neighborhood is a steal at 500,000 GPB. A BASEMENT flat in Mayfair just sold for 3 Million pounds.

If you have grown up around Boston or New England, you know exactly what the British are after . . . clam bakes, beautiful beaches, salt water air, flip flops and surfing. Basically just click on the j.crew website if you forget.

So family and friends, get ready, the British will be coming again . . . and this time it is for our beloved Cape Cod beaches.
